Glycolic Acid or AHA, which stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acid is derived from 100% natural ingredient which is mainly sugar cane. It is the first line product used by Dermatologists because it has lesser side effect than other peelings not to mention it has no downtime due to its micro peeling properties. The use of Glycolic Acid will produce light peeling irregardless of the percentage unlike TCA. The use of Glycolic Acid of 51-70% concentrations has been proven by research as unnecessary as it will yield same results as with 50% solutions. It will also produced side effects such as excessive photosensitivity, scarring,  facial edema, inflammation and breakouts that is why we opted not to sell Glycolic Acids beyond 50% for our customers satisfaction. 50% Glycolic Acid and below are very safe and has minimal side effects.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Wash the area to be treated with mild soap and water. Avoid using scrubs or exfoliants.
2. Apply the Glycolic Acid Peeling Solution using a cotton ball, cotton pads, gauze or a gloved finger on the affected area. Make sure you apply it evenly.
3. Apply another layer after 10 minutes by repeating step 2. You can apply 3 to 5 layers of the solution depending on your tolerance and need.
4. Apply a neutralizer after 10 minutes, this is to relieve the burning and tingling sensation. You can also use a fan or air conditioner to relieve discomfort during and after the chemical peel. Leave the neutralizer on your face for at least 1 minute before washing your face.
5. Wash your face with mild soap and water. You can repeat this entire process for 3 consecutive days for a deeper peel.
6. Glycolic Acid is a mild chemical peel. Peeling can be microscopic or macroscopic. You may or may not observe visible peeling.
7. If itching occurs, you can apply hydrocortisone cream on the affected area.

Preparing a Neutralizer

A Neutralizer is needed to bring back the skin into its normal PH just after any acid peels. It is also helpful to combat the burning sensation in chemical peels. We recommend not buying any form of neutralizer as it easily disintegrates and expires in about 48 hours. Kindly make your own neutralizer to ensure its effectiveness. ALL chemical peel neutralizers you see being sold online and offline are made from Sodium Bicarbonate, also known as Baking Soda.

Things you need:

1 cup water
1 tablespoon baking soda

Instructions:

Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 cup water. After 5 minutes of performing any chemical peel, apply the neutralizer using a cotton ball or pad into the affected area. Wash face with cool water after 5 minutes.
